On this Stakes Saturday many horse racing fans will take in the Cash Call Futurity for a glimpse of the talented two year-olds in the hopes of finding a KD 138 prospect to root for in the coming year. Today we will do the same.
Hollywood Park Race 9 {Cash Call Futurity~G1~1 1/16 mile~2 year old~Stakes}
An incredibly talented field of thirteen will depart from the gate seeking some graded stakes earnings to apply towards entrance into the Kentucky Derby next May. The race comes up nicely balanced with speedsters, pressers, trackers, and closers. It should be a great one.
#9 Liaison (Bejarano / Baffert) looks best prepared and ready to step up another level to a graded victory. He has the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and four strengthening workouts. This guy should track the pace and close well.
$2 WIN / $3 SHOW.
#11 Majestic City (Dominguez / P. Miller) will be one of the leaders battling it on the front end. He shares the highest speed number at the distance and has put in four stellar workouts. This son of City Zip is also undeafeated at Hollywood Park over three races there. Not a stretch to see him saunter into the winners circle.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#6 Sky Kingdom (Gomez / Baffert) will engage in the front end battle with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three sensational workouts. He is another with a victory over the Hollywood course.
#8 Rousing Sermon (Talamo / Hollendorfer) seeks to improve yet again. He has the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a five race progression, and four quality workouts. He is a definite threat with a good tracking run.
#13 Desormais (Flores / Gallagher) will be making his first North American start after racing in France. He won his last race over a synthetic surface at a longer route and has a three race progression going. Cannot be counted out.
