You can hear those sleigh bells off in the distance as we venture home for Hawthorne. On this Friday we will take in a seasonal dirt route at traditional Hawthorne Race Course.
Hawthorne Race Course Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~3 year old Up~Allowance}
An evenly matched crowd of eleven will make the start in this feature. A little speed, a dash of pressers, a trickle of trackers and a clump of closers will make this one an honest route race.
#4 Champion Kid (Torres / Darjean) has a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one fabulous bullet workout. This guy should be the pace setter in full control of the race. He could hold them all off in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.
#2 Unorthodox (Perez / Yanez) could be the big surprise with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two strong workouts. He should perform a nice track and close move. A bronze horseshoe goes out to this gelding.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#3 Ballyjamesduff (Giles / Haran) looks to be in fine form with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and a solid workout. He holds the highest speed number over the Hawthorne course with a 72% in the money record in seven races over the course.
#7 Electric Alphabet (Riggs / Spagnola) will be a contender sharing the fourth highest last out speed number and putting in one good workout. He should be tracking the pace ready to strike.
10 CENT Superfecta
