Friday Downhill Turf at Santa Anita

On the eve of the Dubai World Cup races we take a peek at a great downhill TURF competition at lovely Santa Anita.

A superb crop of eight talented runners are expected to make the downhill journey over the unique Santa Anita Turf course.  Well balanced in running styles should make this race an exciting one to watch and wager.

#3 Chosen Miracle (Talamo / Hollendorfer) will be going for three wins in a row over this downhill course with the highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and three strong workouts.  This guy will be the speed and may wire the field.

#6 Mobilized (Gomez / Mandella) will challenge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and two athletic workouts.  He should be closing swiftly in what could be a fast pace.

#8 Red Defense (Rosario / Gaines) will be a contender with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two supreme workouts.  He'll come a running off a tracking ride.

#7 Supreme Summit (Flores / Puype) will also be in the mix sharing the second highest last out speed number, holding a three race progression, and putting in one solid workout.  He should close fluidly into the pace.
