Fantastic Friday of horse racing on the eve of Preakness 137. Today we look at the feature race at beautiful and historic Pimlico.
Pimlico Race 10 {Black-eyed Susan~G2~1 1/8~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A vibrant field of nine fillies will line-up for this annual race. There appears to be a very nice mix of speed, forwardly placed, trackers, and closers. Only three have traveled the nine panel distance. It will be a very competitive race as any of these gals are capable of entering the winners circle.
#8 Wildcat's Smile (Napravnik / Galluscio) looks powerful enough to handle this field with the fourth highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and two strong peaking workouts. She shares the highest speed number at the distance and is 100% in the money in her seven race career.
$2 SHOW.
#3 Welcome Guest (Dominguez / C. Brown) will be tackling a longer route with the third highest last out speed number and four robust workouts. She looks ready to track the pace and put forth a solid challenge.
$2 SHOW.
#4 Mamma Kimbo (M. Smith / Baffert) should be the speed of the race with the highest last out speed number and three fast workouts. She has two career wins in two races. This gal will be stretching out another 110 yards. She should be a major factor.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
