We open up our horse racing weekend with a little six furlong race in the Hoosier state.
Hoosier Park Race 5 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~IN~Allowance}
A good group of nine runners will make the start in this dirt sprint. It appears to be a well balanced field with all running styles represented. A decent race should follow.
#7 An Eagle Flies (Thompson / Burton) looks ready to take another step forward with the second highest last out speed number as well as the second highest speed number at the distance. Additionally, he holds the second highest speed number over the Hoosier track which includes a 100% in the money record over four starts. A pressing attack will allow him to get first jump on the field.
$2 SHOW.
#9 Herecomesthemaster (Goncalves / Kohnhorst) will challenge with the highest speed number at the distance, a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and two stout workouts. He could track the pace with great effect.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#8 Springvalleyrascal (St. Julien / Walker) will be making his second career start after 30 day layoff. He holds the fourth highest last out speed number resulting in a win over the Hoosier track and has put in a bullet workout. He could close with a stunning rush.
#4 Athisbest (Coa / Cristel) could surprise with a decent 75% in the money record at this distance with a competitive personal best speed number that fits well in this group. He has put in two strong workouts and his tracker/closing style could allow him to take advantage of an honest pace.
