We come upon our Stakes Saturday with a view of star 2 year old fillies in the Hollywood Starlet.
Betfair Hollywood Park Race 9 {Hollywood Starlet~G1~1 1/16 mile~2 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A highly talented field of eight youngsters will make their way onto the Hollywood cushion track. There is enough speed to keep this one motoring well on the front end. It should be a great race.
#6 Executive Privilege (Smith / Baffert) should be the favorite. She has the tactical speed to move smoothly into a victorious run. Holding the highest speed last out as well as the highest speed number at the distance it will be tough to deny her. She is working a two race progression and has put in four superlative workouts. No doubt, the one to beat.
NO Value.
#5 Midnight Ballet (Leparoux / Proctor) should be able to have a nice closing run given the speedsters in the race. She holds the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two superb workouts. If things heat up too much, expect her to take advantage of it.
$2 SHOW.
#1 Pure Fun (Gomez / McPeek) could be the big surprise with the second highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and two diligent workouts. She could settle into a nice tracking position and sail through the stretch.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#3 Scarlet Strike (Talamo / Hollendorfer) could figure prominently with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and a love for the Hollywood track. She is working a three race progression and has put in three solid workouts. A nice tracking / closing stride will benefit her.
#4 Blonde Fog (M. Garcia / Baffert) could hold on as a speedster up front. She holds the third highest last out speed number in her only career race, a victory. This daughter of Divine Park has put in four sensational workouts in preparation.
