We hope you had a wonderful Christmas holiday with family and friends.
To begin our horse racing weekend we start with a splendid allowance warm-up filled to the brim with talented horses.
Penn National Race 4 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A great group of hard knocking horses will go to post in this allowance feature. Large fields such as this make for potentially rewarding 10 CENT Superfecta payouts. This field is equally matched by virtue of their closely aligned speed numbers at this sprint distance. The vast majority of the group will be forwardly placed leaving the race open for a tracker to shine on through. It should be a very good race.
#4 Cortado (Cora / Levine) has a slight edge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race porgression, and three solid peaking workouts. He should be fresh coming off a modest layoff. This guy could benefit from his tracking/closing running style.
$2 SHOW.
#8 New Yawker (Whitney / Jacobson) will challenge with the highest last out speed number and a three race progression. He ships in from Aqueduct for this one. This guy also holds the second highest speed number at the distance. His tracking/closing running style should help his cause.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#6 Dogwoods Barto (A. Castellano / Ness) should be a contender with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and one stout workout. He has the tactical speed to stay close and move swiftly through the stretch.
#10 Miami Mako (McCarthy / Pregman) could be in the mix after a extended layoff. He holds a win over this track and has posted the third highest overall speed number. His pressing attack coupled with two strong peaking workouts should earn him respect.
#9 Triple A Rating (Rodriguez / Kreiser) should be in the hunt with the fourth highest last out speed number. He holds the highest speed number of the field, at the distance and the second highest over the Penn National track. He is another with a pressing style that could set him up favorably.
10 CENT Superfecta
#4 Cortado / #8 New Yawker / #6 Dogwoods Barto / #10 Miami Mako, #9 Triple A Rating.
