We begin our horse racing weekend by taking in a downhill Turf race.
Santa Anita Race 6 {6 1/2 furlongs~downhill TURF~4 year old Up~Maiden Special Weight}
A field of eight will line up for this downhill Turf race. Not much speed is evident, therefore a forwardly placed horse could have an advantage.
#1 Broker Brett (T. Baze / Sadler) might be able to stay close with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three stout workouts. After a strong downhill stride he might close well in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.
#5 Just Fishin (Puglisi / Greely) could surprise with the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three superb workouts. He could take great advantage of a forwardly placed running style.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#7 Exultant (Hernandez / Sadler) should be in the mix with the second highest speed number at the distance and four robust workouts. This guy has the tactical speed to get the job done.
#4 Dynamize (Stevens / Puype) will make an effort after a long layoff. He is coming back with the highest speed number at the distance and three solid workouts. He might be able to track the pace and show vigor in the stretch.
10 CENT Superfecta
#1 Broker Brett / #5 Just Fishin / #7 Exultant / #4 Dynamize.
Last Superfecta Sunday (1/13) Results
