Belmont Saturday Stakes

On this Stakes Saturday, we take a look at a tremendous graded stakes race at the "Big Sandy".

Belmont Park Race 9 {Peter Pan~G2~1 1/8 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A great group of eleven high caliber horses will make their way to the starting gate in this annual graded stakes race.  The race comes up a little short on speed, but there are several that should find themselves forwardly placed assuring a reasonable pace.  All but two are Triple Crown nominated.  Any one of these horses are capable of the win.  These very talented horses will continue to make bank for their connections as their racing career rolls on, no matter the outcome here.  It will be a fantastic race.

#3 Battier (Rosario / Pletcher) might have a slight edge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a super six race progression, and two robust workouts.  While trainer, Todd Pletcher, may have fallen short in the Derby, he is a Prince of New York racing and should have this guy well prepped.  Expect him to take up a pressing attack and make his run.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#5 Abraham (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) could secure a Pletcher exacta sharing the second highest last out speed number, running a two race progression, and putting in two strong peaking workouts.  He is another that should be forwardly placed ready to strike.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#8 Declan's Warrior (Lezcano / Zito) will challenge with the highest last out speed number at a sprint, a three race progression, and two superb peaking workouts.  This guy has already achieved victory over the Belmont track which strengthens his cause.  He should be tracking the pace awaiting an opening.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#10 Incognito (Luzzi / McLaughlin) should contend as an improving sort with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two diligent workouts.  He will be stretching out and should be forwardly placed.

#11 Infinite Magic (Prado / Ribaudo) should be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two great workouts.  He will be making his second North American start after a solid career across the pond.  This guy should be tracking and closing swiftly.
