On this Thursday we take a look at a good Turf sprint in sunny California for the start of outr horse racing weekend.
Betfair Hollywood Park Race 7 {6 furlongs~TURF~3 year old~Fillies~Optional Claiming}
A group of eight equally matched fillies will make their start in this feature race. There is tremendous parity among this crew. Any one of these gals could claim the victory. Speed will be very evident as these fillies launch from the gate. A great race should unfold.
#6 Malibu Honey (M. Garcia / Sadler) might have a slight edge as she likes to stay close and track the pace, particularly if the pace gets fierce. She holds the highest last out speed number prior to a 60 day freshening. This gal is working a two race progression and has put in four superb peaking workouts.
$2 SHOW.
#8 Upward Spiral [GB] (Gomez / Callaghan) should challenge with a couple of decent last out speed numbers after a good racing career across the pond. She is coming off a longer sprint and has put in three very good workouts. Another that appears ready to take advantage of a fiery pace.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#4 Broken Sword (Bejarano / Hollendorfer) should be a contender with a couple of excellent last out speed numbers and three superior bullet workouts. She will be part of the pace setters and could have enough to hold on. It will be her first Turf try.
#7 Zia Zia Zia (Smith / Puype) is another who will contend with the third highest last out speed number and three superlative workouts. She will be showing speed as part of the front group. This gal will also be making her first start on the green.
