Thursday at Churchill Downs

We begin our horse racing weekend at beautiful Churchill Downs.

Churchill Downs Race 8 {6 1/2 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A delightful group of eight will saunter to the gate in this allowance feature.  There is enough speed to keep the pace honest.  A number in her are coming off longer layoffs which could impact how the race rolls out.  It should be a good one.

#2 Delightful Magic (Bridgmohan / Casse) has a slight edge coming off a brief freshening with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four superb peaking workouts. She could set up nicely tracking the leaders.

#6 Fully Living (Napravnik / Arnold) will challenge coming off an extended layoff.  Prior to the layoff she holds the second highest (tie) last out speed number.  This gal has put in four excellent peaking workouts prepping for this race.  She could find herself forwardly placed ready to get first jump on the leaders.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Tunka (Lanerie / Proctor) looks strong coming off  a good effort last out sharing the second highest last out speed number.  She is working a three race progression and has put in two hearty workouts.  With a solid pace this gal should come charging hard in the stretch.

#8 Graceful Rage (Santana / Moquett) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one diligent workout.  She is another that could track and close well.

Monmouth Park R10.  Monmouth Stakes--G2.  Our 10 CENT Superfecta Box effort scored the first two in the superfecta, but failed to get any others.  Superfecta went 3-5-10-9.
Our Bronze Horsehoe runner, Tune Me In, finished 7th.
