We take a look at a nice dirt route in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {Fifth Season Stakes~1 1/16 mile~4 year old Up~Stakes}
A quality group of nine will venture on to the dirt in this stakes feature. There is some speed to keep the pace going. All in here will be firing fresh after end of the year breaks. The speed numbers are all very close to one another. It should be a good race.

#3 Code West (Berry / Caster) looks to have a slight edge with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route and three strong peaking workouts. This lad is 100% in the money at this distance from seven starts. It appears he might sit right off the pace ready to explode into the stretch.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Carve (Castanon / Cox) should pose a terrific challenge coming out of a grade one and taking sixty days rest. He holds the highest speed number at the distance and has put in four superb workouts that include a couple of bullets. This guy should be tracking the pace efficiently.

#7 Real Appeal Deal (Borel / Morse) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout. With a decent pace, he will be closing swiftly through the stretch. He is another with a 100% in the money record at the distance from four tries.

#9 For Greater Glory (Ocampo / Hobby) should be in the mix with a couple of good last out speed numbers, going longer in his last and putting in three excellent peaking workouts. This lad will be closing from the clouds with the right pace set-up.
