Friday Turf at Gulfstream

Today we take in a little Turf action in sunny Florida.

A good group of ten will go to the green in this afternoon feature.  There is plenty of speed to insure a swift pace. The speed figures are all very close which will make for a highly competitive race. Overall it should be an exciting race.

#2 Hammer's Terror (Leparoux / Lynch) might have a slight edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and one solid workout. He should be forwardly placed ready to strike. This lad is the only one in this group with a victory over the Gulfstream course.

#7 Sachem Spirit (Lanerie / Kenneally) is coming into this fresh off a brief layoff. He holds the third highest (3-way tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two superb workouts. He has the ability to run with the forwardly placed and also track the pace. This is his first try over the Gulfstream Turf.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Midnight Notes (L. Saez / Tomlinson) should challenge sharing the third highest last out speed number, working a two race progression, and putting in three strong peaking workouts. He is also coming off a brief layoff, rested and ready.

#9 Gunderson (Castellano / Maker) will contend sharing the highest last out speed number, working a three race progression, and putting in two sound workouts. This lad could be the speed on the front end and if left unchallenged could wire this field.
