We roll into our Horse Racing weekend on the Turf.
Belmont Park Race 7 {1 mile~3 year-old Up~NY~Optional Claiming}
A solid group of eight will go to the gate in this New York bred race. There is enough speed to maintain an honest pace. The speed numbers are fairly close which should make for a competitive race. Quality riders and trainers for all the entrants should make the race quite interesting.
#8 Towering Moon (Castellano / Rodriguez) might have the edge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong workouts. This lad is the only one among the group that is 100% in the money over the Belmont Track. He should track and close well into a legitimate pace.
$1 WIN / $2 SHOW.
#2 Goodtolook (L. Saez / McLaughlin) should pose a mighty challenge with the highest last out speed number at a longer route and one robust workout. This lad has the speed to wire the field and it let loose on the lead he will be good to gone. He holds the highest speed number at the distance.
$1 SHOW.
Other Wagering interests
#5 Spa City Fever (Cruz / Jacobson) will contend with the highest speed number at the distance. He shares the third highest last out speed number at a longer route. This lad has the tactical speed to stay the course on any pace scenario that develops. He also holds the highest speed number over the Belmont track.
#1 Escape to the Moon (Franco / B. Brown) should be in the mix with the second highest last out speed number and two sound workouts. He likes the Belmont course and has done well over it earning a 75% in the money record.
