Superfecta Sunday at Big Sandy

Superfecta Sunday, already ?!  We take a look at a real spectacular Turf mile at lovely Belmont.

Belmont Park Race 8 {Wild Applause Stakes~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Fillies~Stakes}

A great group of eight will hit the green in this feature stakes race.  There are enough speedy types in here to possibly set it up for a gal coming off the pace. The speed numbers are very close which could make it any fillies race. A couple in here will be trying Turf for the first time, but appear ready to enjoy the surface.  Our task is to weave together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#3 Stormy Regatta (Franco / Clement) should be able to take another step forward with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and three resolute workouts. She has already scored two victories at this distance. This gal should track and close vibrantly. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

#5 Celestine (Maragh / Mott) may go off as the favorite seeking her fourth victory in a row. She holds the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two robust workouts. That highest speed fig was earned by a victory over the Belmont Turf which adds to her luster. This gal has a versatile running style which should fit this group well.

#7 Angela Renee (L. Saez / Pletcher) will be making her first start over the Turf. She last raced in the Kentucky Oaks which earned her the second highest speed number of this crew. She is working a five race progression and has put in three serious workouts. Watch her track the pace very closely.

#8 My Year Is a Day [FR] (Lezcano / Motion) will be making her second North American start. She need her last after racing very well in her native France. This gal will be coming down in distance and has put in three superb workouts. She is another with a versatile running style.
