Staying on at gorgeous Santa Anita for a sweet mile race.
Santa Anita Park Race 5 {1 mile~3 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}
A salty group of eight will go to the gate in this mile route. There is enough speed to keep an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close which should produce a contentious race. All of these lads have had powerful workouts in preparation for this race. Our task is to knit together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket. It should be a fine race.
#2 I Don't Care Who (Espinoza / Sadler) could have the edge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route, a five race progression, and three superb workouts. This lad has the tactical speed to stay the course. He is our bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#8 Iron Fist (Smith / Hollendorfer) will challenge as the prohibitive favorite. He holds the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four seriously sound workouts. He should sit right off the pace ready to pounce on the leaders.
#3 Grazen Sky (Bejarano / Miyadi) will contend with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and four robust workouts. This lad could be forwardly placed ready to strike.
#7 Tried and True (Pedroza / Harty) should be in the hunt with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three hearty workouts. Like many in this race, he enjoys the Santa Anita track. Look for him to be tracking and positioning for a quality effort.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
