Back in Action, Horse Racing Weekend

After a brief respite in which we played in the Gold Coast Casino Summer Classic, we are back in action for our Horse Racing Weekend.  On this Friday we take a look at a great Stakes race in upstate New York.

Saratoga Race 4 {Curlin Stakes~1 1/8 mile~3 year old~Stakes}

A great group of six will go to the gate in this superb stakes race. There is speed to maintain a reasonable pace. These are all improving colts and a gelding that seek to move the needle on their respective speed numbers. It should be a very competitive event.

#3 Tekton (Cintron / A. Dutrow) should have a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three hearty workouts. This lad has the tactical speed to settle in comfortably and rush through the stretch.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

#2 Stanford (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts. He is the lone runner that has traversed the Saratoga track. This lad could take up the task as the pace leader seeking to wire this field.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Smart Transition (Alvarado / Shirreffs) should contend with the second highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and two strong workouts. He should be tracking the pace and hit the stretch with flourish. This guy will be stretching out for this event.

#4 Unrivaled (Lezcano / Montoya) will be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number and one sound workout. He is another that will track the pace and quicken going into the stretch. This guy appears to be in fine form.

10 CENT Superfecta

#3 Tekton  /  #2 Stanford  /  #5 Smart Transition  /  #4 Unrivaled.
