There are few things better than a Fall Turf race in beautiful Kentucky. Today we take a look at a grade one.
Keeneland Race 10 {Shadwell Turf Mile~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}
A fantastic field of fourteen will hit the green in this annual contest. There is enough speed to produce a solid pace. Speed numbers are fairly close giving this one a strong competitive feel. Three millionaires make their appearance seeking to pad their bankroll. A few could make millionaire status with a win today. Should be an incredible race.
#11 Almanaar [GB] (Castellano / C. Brown) might have the edge with the highest last out speed number at a longer route and four superb peaking workouts. This lad loves the turf and is good at the distance. A son of Dubawi [IRE], he should be tracking the pace and strike heading into the stretch.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.
#2 Divisidero (Toledo / Rubley) will challenge with a couple of triple digit Beyer's among his last three and one bullet workout. This guy loves the Turf, distance and Keeneland course. A millionaire son of Kitten's Joy, he should track and close gallantly.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#6 Synchrony (Lanerie / Stidham) could surprise with a couple of very good last out speed numbers, securing wins in both and three excellent peaking workouts. He is 100% in the money over the Turf from nine starts. A son of Tapit, he is another that will track and close gamely.
$1 SHOW.
#14 Bound for Nowhere (J. Garcia / W. Ward) should contend with the third highest last out speed number and two robust workouts. He is undefeated in two tries over the Keeneland Turf. A son of The Factor, he should be forwardly placed looking for first run into the stretch.
