We make a journey, virtually, to the great country of Canada for our Stakes Saturday.
Woodbine Race 9 {Woodbine Mile~G1~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~graded Stakes}
A highly talented field of eight will go to the gate in this annual grade one contest. It should be a fantastic race with lots of dollars flowing into the pools.
Past Performances utilized: DRF Formulator.
This will be a very competitive race with any of these entrants having a chance to pull off the victory. There is plenty of speed to maintain a fast pace. Two millionaires are in the race, one of them a mare challenging the boys. Beyer Speed figures are very close. All have been well prepped with proper workout tabs. What a race this should be!!
#7 Value Proposition [GB] (Contreras / C. Brown) is certainly one of the favorites with three very good last out speed numbers and three speed workouts over Turf. He will be making her first start over the Woodbine course, but loves the surface and excels at the distance. This son of Dansili [GB], is 80% in the money from five career starts. He should track the pace and make his run in the stretch.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.
#4 Starship Jubilee (Stein / K. Attard) will challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number and two sound workouts. This seven year-old mare will challenge these lads coming with eighteen wins on her record. She has the tactical speed to feel these boys out and make an adjustment. A millionaire daughter of Indy Wind, she is 70% in the money from thirty-seven career starts.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#8 War of Will (R. Hernandez / M. Casse) should contend with the second highest last out speed number and four significant peaking workouts. This guy is another with tactical speed that should do him well with some of the speedsters in the race. Last year's Preakness winner, he does enjoy the Turf. A millionaire son of War Front, he is 50% in the money from sixteen career starts.
