There are a number of forwardly placed types that could turn the pace up at bit from the get-go. Speed numbers among this group are very close making it a competitive event. Only one millionaire makes an appearance in this quality field. Four will be stretching out to this distance for the first time. It should be one of the most exciting races on the day.

#2 Captivating Moon (Leparoux / Block) appears to be in fine form with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and three superb peaking workouts. This guy has hit the board once at this distance in his two tries. He should benefit from a quick pace with his tracking style. #10 Aurelius Maximus (Santana / Asmussen) will be stretching out to this distance with three good last out speed numbers and two stout workouts.
