Stakes Saturday at Magnificent Keeneland

 Keeneland in the Fall is one of the most beautiful places on earth. On this Stakes Saturday we take in a very nice graded stakes sprint for the ladies on the dirt.

A fascinating field of ten fillies will go to the gate in this annual affair.

There is a ton of speed in this super charged race. It could set up nicely for a gal that positions close to the pace with the energy to giddy-up in the stretch. Speed numbers are very close which insures that it will be competitive race. Only two of these ladies have competed over the Keeneland track. All will be firing fresh since their last outing. It should the most exciting race of the day.

#4 Finite (Santana / Asmussen) will be trying this distance for the first time. She has posted three grand peaking workouts in preparation. This gal enjoys the surface and appears ready to add to her bankroll. A daughter of Munnings, she is 77% in the money from nine career starts. Look for her to be forwardly placed.

#10 Secret Keeper (B. Hernandez / Sise) comes in from Del Mar where she raced very well. This gal will be dropping in distance from a mile event and has put in four superb peaking workouts. Again another that will try this distance for the first time. A daughter of Into Mischief, she is 100% in the money from three career starts. She is another that should be forwardly placed ready to strike in the stretch.

#5 Venetian Harbor (M. Franco / Baltas) is one of the two that have already hit the board at Keeneland. She should go off as the favorite with the highest last out speed number and four strong peaking workouts. This lady will show her speed on the front end in an attempt to wire this field. A daughter of Munnings, she is 100% in the money from six career starts.

#3 Secondary Market (Gaffalione / C. Brown) could surprise as she stretches out to this distance. She has fired two bullets within a four workout tab making her quite ready to post another top speed figure. Another daughter of Into Mischief, she is 75% in the money from four career starts. She is another that will be in the forwardly placed scrum.

Hawthorne Race Course R4.  Maiden Special Weight. We just missed on our 20 CENT Superfecta box effort hooking three of the four wagering interests needed to cash. Superfecta went 4-7-6-11.

Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Scent of Success, finished 3rd for show money of $2.80.

Bankroll falls to its lowest point in years at $7.92. We will supplement with a Hamilton for today's race.
