We begin our horse racing weekend at twilight in the dirt at Hoosier Park and at Fairplex Park.
Hoosier Park Race 4 {1 mile~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A strikingly good group of nine older horses will go to the gate for this race. Strike Impact (Mena / P. Dupuy) should make a strong impact with the third highest last out speed number over a longer route and three superbly built, peaking workouts. Golden Country (Mojica / Bergin) looks ready with a decent last out speed number and a solid bullet workout. Z Humor (Martin / Asmussen) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and four tenacious, peaking workouts. Native Ruler (Torres / Richard) should grab a piece with the second highest last out speed number and two good workouts. Let's play Hoosier Park.
$2 SHOW: #6 Strike Impact.
$2 SHOW: #4 Golden Country.
10 CENT Superfecta: #6 Strike Impact / #4 Golden Country / #9 Z Humor, #1 Native Ruler / #9, #1.
Fairplex Park Race 11 {Beverly Lewis~6 1/2 furlongs~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A very nice herd of eight fillies will go to the gate in this ungraded stakes race. Seriously (M. Garcia / Baffert) looks much the best with the highest speed number at this distance, 100% in the money at the distance and three robust, peaking workouts. Folk Dancer (Atkinson / Cerin) looks solid with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one fierce bullet workout. Feeling Fancy (Santiago / Lucarelli) appears ready with two nice wins over the distance, a couple of decent last out speed numbers, and one bullet workout. True Religion (Nakatani / Cassidy) should be in the chase for a piece of the purse coming off a route and three hearty workouts. Subsidized (Pedroza / Baffert) will be the favorite and can be expected to challenge if he takes to the dirt. He has the highest last out speed number and four decent workouts. Let's play Fairplex Park.
