Happy New Year to all. May 2012 be a particularly profitable one for you!
Happy Birthday to our Equine heros.
We begin our three year old season today by taking in a sprint race at luxurious Gulfstream Park.
Gulfstream Park Race 9 {Old Hat~G3~6 furlongs~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
An excellent field of eight will make their way to the gate. There is a significant amount of speed in this race so it make give an edge to those coming off the pace.
#4 Sacristy (Desormeaux / Catalano) looks well prepped with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three mighty, peaking workouts. She could track the pace and make her move in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.
#2 Say A Novena (Trujillo / Plesa) will challenge with a pressing attack. She holds the highest speed number at the distance and is coming off a route with three athletic workouts. This gal should be a top contender.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#8 Quick Flip (Maragh / Pompay) will share speed duties in this race with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and one stout workout. She will need to tamp down the pace to score her fourth victory in a row.
#6 Awesome Belle (Saez / Gold) is coming off a route with two bullet workouts. She has the second highest speed number over the surface and is 100% in the money over fast dirt. A steady pressing run could get her a piece in this one.
10 CENT Superfecta
#4 Sacristy / #2 Say A Novena / #8 Quick Flip / #6 Awesome Belle.
