On this first day of our horse racing weekend, we gear up for the Arlington Million on August 16th, by taking in a nice Turf mile race at fabulous Arlington International.

A great group of eight will take to the Arlington Turf. There is enough speed to keep the pace rolling swiftly. These gals are fairly equally matched. It should be a very nice race.
#3 Dance With Kitten (Geroux / Domenosky) has the edge with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two stout workouts. She holds the second highest speed at the distance. Look for her to track and close effortlessly.

#1 Cypress Pond (Russell / Berndt) will challenge with the highest last out speed number at a longer route, a six race progression, and two robust workouts. She should be part of the leading pack of runners seeking to close them all down.

#7 Wifeonthewarpath (Emigh / Kirby) should contend with the second highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and two strong workouts. She holds the third highest speed number at this distance. This gal should be tracking and closing smoothly.
#5 La Reine Bourbon (Marquez / Gorder) should be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and two athletic workouts. This gal holds the highest speed number at this distance. Watch her tactical speed as she weighs how the pace may develop.
