Superfecta Sunday at Del Mar

An enjoyable Superfecta Sunday unrolls where the Surf meets the Turf.

Del Mar Race 8 {Best Pal~G2~6 1/2 furlongs~2 year old~Stakes}
A solid field of eight will step up to the gate. There is enough speed and forwardly placed types to keep the pace honest.  All of these colts (and one gelding) will be stretching out to this distance for the first time.  There is no telling which one will make a big step forward.  All are equally talented to pull off the victory.  Our task is to attempt to sew together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta ticket.

#5 Rowdy Dylan (Maldonado / P. Miller) might have a slight edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number and a two race progression. He should be tracking the pace in his third start of the form cycle.  He could score nicely.

#7 Skyway (Elliott / Casse) will challenge having already scored a win over the poly down at Keeneland.  He holds the fourth highest last out speed number and has put in two solid workouts over the Del Mar poly.  He is our Bronze Horseshoe runner.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Story to Tell (Talamo / Hendricks) should contend sharing the highest last out speed number and putting in two quality workouts.  He is 100% in the money from three career starts.  He has the ability to track from very close to the pace.

#6 Henry's Holiday (T. Baze / O'Neill) looks to be in the mix after a brief freshening.  He holds the third highest (tie) last out speed number and has put in three robust workouts prepping for this one.  Should the pace become hot, his closing style will come to the forefront.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#5 Rowdy Dylan  +  #7 Skyway  +  #1 Story to Tell  +  #6 Henry's Holiday.

Stakes Saturday Results

Superfecta went 9-8-7-5.
Bankroll gets a trim to $9.14.
