Another thrilling Saturday of Stakes action. Today we take a look at a fine graded Turf race.
Belmont Park Race 8 {Knickerbocker~G3~1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~Graded Stakes}
A superb field of six will trot to the Turf for this annual contest. There is some speed to keep the pace honest. All of these runners are skilled performers over the Turf. It should be a terrific race.
#7 Up With the Birds (C. Velasquez / Pierce) night have the edge with the third highest last out speed number and four fantastic peaking workouts. This son of Stormy Atlantic will be closing swiftly into a solid pace. He has already posted a victory over the Belmont course.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.
#4 Speaking of Which [IRE] (Franco / Clement) will challenge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two wholesome workouts. This son of Invincible Spirit [IRE] should be tracking the leaders ready to strike in the stretch. He also holds the highest speed fig at the distance.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#9 Mshawish (Castellano / Pletcher) should contend with a couple of decent, improving last out speed numbers, a three race progression, and three robust workouts. This son of Medaglia d'Oro is another that will be tracking the pace seeking to pounce in the stretch.

Another Wagering Interest
#1 Plainview (Lezcano / DiPrima) should be the speed of the race with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a five race progression, and three stellar, peaking workouts. This son of the late Street Cry [IRE] has a 70% in the money record at glorious Belmont. He will be seeking to wire this field.

#7 Up With the Birds / #4 Speaking of Which [IRE] / #9 Mshawish / #1 Plainview.

Keeneland R9. Franklin County Stakes. Our first pick, Free as a Bird, won (1st) for show money of $3.00. Our second pick, Sweet Cassiopeia, finished 3rd for show money of $3.20.
Superfecta went 12-2-13-1.
Bankroll gets a lift to $19.39.
