A reduced field of eleven will go to the gate in this annual contest.

This talented group will be looking to show continued improvement and grab Kentucky Derby points. There is a plethora of speed that should create a scorching pace which could benefit those coming from off the pace. Speed figures are very close. It should be a highly competitive race. Roughly half the field have experience over the Oaklawn dirt. It should be the most tremendous race of today's Derby preps across the country.

#4 Otto the Conqueror (Rosario / Asmussen) will be seeking his fourth win in a row. He holds a good last out speed fig and two hearty workouts. This will be his first try over the Oaklawn track. He should be forwardly placed. This colt should relish the stretch-out. A son of Kentucky Derby winner, Street Sense, he is 100% in the money from four starts.

#6 Liberal Arts (Torres / Medina) will be tracking the pace ready to strike in the stretch with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and four strong peaking workouts. He has already produced a win at this distance. A son of Arrogate, he is 100% in the money from five starts.

#5 Wynstock (Frey / Baffert) is on the improve and will challenge on the front-end. he also has a win at this distance. This will be his first start over the Oaklawn oval. He has a dynamic workout tab of three peaking workouts. A son of Solomini, he has a win rate of 50% from four starts.
