Stakes Saturday on the West Coast of Florida

 Another Horse racing weekend with Kentucky Derby points on the line. We look in on a great prep race down on the West coast of Florida.

Tampa Bay Downs Race 10 {Sam F. Davis~G3~1 1/16 mile~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A great group of twelve will go to the gate in search of KD 150 points.

There is plenty of speed in this one to produce a fast pace. Speed numbers are very close. Only five have not yet raced over the Tampa track. Seven will be stretching out to this distance, while one will drop in distance. It should be a fantastic race on the road to the Kentucky Derby.

#11 Fulmineo (Centeno / Delacour) will track the pace with the fourth highest last out speed number and one solid workout. He is one of two that have posted a triple digit speed fig. He loves the dirt, distance, and track. A son of Bolt d'Oro, he is 80% in the money from five starts.

#9 Change of Command (Gaffalione / McGaughey) will challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three superb workouts. Look for him to be forwardly placed. This will be his first attempt over the Tampa Bay track. A son of Into Mischief, he is 80% in the money from five starts.

#3 Patriot Spirit (Camacho / M. Campbell) will stretch out sharing that second highest last out speed number and putting in two strong peaking workouts. He posted a win over this track in that last out race. Look for him to show tactical speed. A son of Constitution, he holds a win rate of 50% from four starts.

#6 Agate Road (J. Ortiz / Pletcher) is the other horse that holds a triple digit speed number. He has won both races he has run at this distance. This guy will be tracking the pace ready to strike in the stretch. A son of Quality Road, he is also 80% in the money from five starts.

#5 No More Time (P. Lopez / D'Angelo) will stretch out to this distance with three power workouts. He should track the pace closely. This lad comes in from Gulfstream Park. A son of Not This Time, he is 66% in the money from three starts.

#7 Copper Tax (Marquez / Capuano) drops in distance with four endurance producing workouts. He will try the Tampa track for the first time coming down from Aqueduct. This colt has tactical speed to adapt to the pace. A son of Copper Bullet, he is 85% in the money from seven starts.
