Going Long on the Turf for Superfecta Sunday

 We go long on the Turf at Keeneland for our Superfecta Sunday play.

Keeneland Race 5 {1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Allowance}

A nice full field of twelve will go to the gate in this mid-card feature.

There is sufficient speed in this race to create an honest pace, though you can expect an explosive quickening coming into the stretch. Speed numbers are fairly close with a number of entrants hitting the triple-digit mark within their last three. Only four have run over the Keeneland course. Five will stretch out to the distance. It should be one of the best races on the card.

#12 Crystal Quest (Prat / Trombetta) will be tracking and closing into a decent pace. He comes in with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong peaking workouts. Maryland Millions Day

 A great Stakes Saturday unfolds with smashing races across the continent. We look to the Maryland dirt for a fantastic sprint race.

Laurel Park Race 12 {MD Million Sprint~6 furlongs~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

A nice field of nine will go to the dirt in this annual contest. Hopefully the field stays intact as we publish this before scratches are announced.

There is plenty of speedy and forwardly placed types to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are fairly close with only three having hit triple-digit speed figs. All have competed over the dirt, distance, and Laurel track. It will be a tremendous race to cap off the Laurel card.

#8 Haileysfirstnotion (M. Sanchez / Capuano) comes in with the highest last out speed number and two speedy peaking workouts. He should be the controlling speed and will seek to wire the field. Superfecta Sunday in Oklahoma

 On this Superfecta Sunday we look at the lucky last on the Remington Park card.

Remington Park Race 9 {7 1/2 Furlongs~TURF~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Maiden Claiming}

A nice field of ten will hit the green in this Maiden race.

There is enough speedy types in the race to produce an honest pace. Only three have traveled this distance. Four have run over the Remington course. Another four will be trying the Turf for the first time. Speed numbers are fairly close. It should be a highly competitive race.

Stakes Saturday in Kentucky

 A great Stakes Saturday of racing across the country. We look in on a fantastic Turf race in Lexington, Kentucky.

 We look in on the great card at Parx today and key in on the PA Derby.

A very talented field of ten will go to the gate in this annual event.

A talented field of ten youngsters will go to the post in the first Kentucky Derby points race on the schedule.

 On this Superfecta Sunday we look in on a great Stakes race as the Kentucky Downs meet closes out.

A reduced field of nine will hit the adulating KD course.

There is enough speedy and forwardly placed types to produce a decent pace. Only two have raced over the Kentucky Downs course and both during this short meet. Speed numbers are fairly close. It should be competitive as these youngsters tackle this rolling course. It should be a great race on a fantastic Superfecta Sunday of racing.

#7 Street Beast (Machado / Colebrook) is the overwhelming favorite as he wheels back from a win over this course just a week ago. He holds the highest last out speed number and one superb workout. Look for him to be forwardly placed close to the pace. A son of Street Sense, he is 100% in the money from two starts.

Turf near the Surf Superfecta Sunday

 We venture to where the "Turf meets the Surf" for a fantastic Turf Stakes race.

A competitive edition of this annual affair features eleven ladies ready for the green.

Stakes Saturday in Virginia

We look in on a good stakes race in Virginia. 

Colonial Downs Race 9 {Star De Naskra Stakes~7 Furlongs~3 year-old~VA/MD Bred or Sired}

An average field of eight will go to the gate in this feature race.

There is sufficient speed to produce an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close. Only three have raced over the Colonial track.  One horse will be stretching out to this longer sprint distance. All have raced very well over a dirt surface. It should be a fun race to wager and watch on a great Stakes Saturday of racing.

Superfecta Sunday in the Pea Patch

 On this Superfecta Sunday we venture into the "Pea Patch" for some great stakes action.

Ellis Park Race 8 {Pea Patch Stakes~5 1/2 Furlongs~3 year-old~Filly~Stakes}

A reduced field of nine will hit the green in this annual affair.

A plethora of speed will make the pace sizzling. Speed numbers are fairly close with three runners having hit the triple-digit mark. Only one entrant has run over the Ellis Park course. Two will drop from graded stakes events and one will attempt this distance for the first time. It should be a nice race on a Sunday of great racing.

#12 Mae Town (Geroux / B. Lynch) comes in seeking her third win in a row. She won last out at this distance sharing the highest last out speed number. This gal loves the Turf.
