We close out our horse racing weekend on this Sunday at Hollywood Park.
Hollywood Park Race 9 {Hollywood Derby~G1~1 1/4~Turf~3 year old~Stakes}
A very competitive field of eight steps on to the Turf for this annual race. Only two have gone this distance. All have a shot at finding their way to the winners circle. Sebastian Flyte [GB] (Rosario / Cecil) has a slight edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four aggressive workouts. Lions Story (Smith / Hollendorfer) may be one of the surprises with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and three superb workouts. Citrus Kid (Bejarano / Terranova) looks to be part of the speed duet having already competed at this distance. He shares the third highest last out speed number, has a two race progression, and has put in three strngthening workouts. Juniper Pass (Blanc / Bell) is another that will surprise with a perfect record at the distance over two races, a couple of decent last out speed numbers, and three sensational, peaking workouts. Finishing out the weekend with a very slim bankroll, let's play Hollywood Park.
