A pleasant Friday looking at a nice stakes race at Belmont Park.

A small but mighty field of six will make the start in this stakes event.  All will be coming off a longer route to compete in an end of summer mile.  It should be a highly competitive race.

#6 Adirondack Summer (A. Garcia / Clement) looks ready after a good layoff with the highest (tie) speed number at the distance and four strong, peaking workouts.  With a good pace this guy could close well enough for the win.

#3 Rustler Hustler (Prado / Mott) will give a solid challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three robust, peaking workouts.  He should be fairly close to the pace.

#1 Wilkinson (J. Velazquez / Howard) will be a contender with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three stellar, peaking workouts.  He could track and close for the victory.
