Keeneland Opens

On this beautiful Friday we take a look at a wonderful stakes race on the opening day of Keeneland's Fall meet.

Keeneland Race 9 {Darley Alcibiades~G1~1 1/16 mile~2 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A great group of fourteen well bred fillies will go to the gate.  The majority have not yet gone this distance, but have trained well in advance of this race.  These gals all have solid pedigrees which will make this race anyone's to take.

#6 Egg Drop (Talamo / Mitchell) has a slight edge with the second highest last out speed number in her only start.  This California invader appears well prepped with four strenuous workouts.  She could press and pounce for the win.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Tu Endie Wei (McAleney / Baker) will challenge with the highest last out speed number, two wins over the polytrack surface at Woodbine, and four robust workouts.  There should be plenty of pace for her to kick it home.
$2 SHOW.

#14 Ann Of The Dance (Maragh / DiVito) will be the surprise, having raced well over the polytrack surface at Arlington Park.  She has a win at this distance, a three race progression, and two superb workouts.  She will battle earnestly with the other closers.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 Stephanie's Kitten (Lanerie / Catalano) looks ready to compete strongly with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two athletic, peaking workouts.  She will compete with the closers in the stretch.

#10 Frolic's Revenge (Leyva / Wolfson) should perform well sharing the the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two stamina inducing as well as peaking workouts.  She is 100% in the money over five career races.  Will be forwardly placed and could post another win at this distance.
