We start out horse racing weekend with a look at the youngsters at Keeneland.
Keeneland Race 8 {JP Morgan Chase Jessamine~G3~1 1/16~Turf~2 year old~Fillies~Stakes}
A field of twelve will go to the green for this race. Hopefully the weather holds. Only one gal in the field has gone this distance. It should be a great race.
#9 Sweet Cat (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) holds a slight edge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four athletic workouts. She should get first jump on the field in the stretch run.
$2 SHOW.
#11 Emerald Gold (Gomez / Proctor) will challenge sharing the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four superb workouts. Watch for a good closing run from her.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#2 Somali Lemonade (Solis / Matz) should be in the hunt with the highest last out speed number, her only start, and two robust workouts. Expect a deep close should the pace boil over. Capable of pulling off the victory.
#7 Honey Talk (Prado / Howard) will also be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two hearty workouts. She could pop a good one.
10 CENT Superfecta
#9 Sweet Cat / #11 Emerald Gold / #2 Somali Lemonade / #7 Honey Talk.
