Stakes Saturday Out East

A spectacular Stakes Saturday arrives.  We take a look at a couple of good ones out East.

Belmont Park Race 9 {Suburban Handicap~G2~1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A top line field of eight powerhorses are expected to make the start.  Every last one of them is capable of pulling off the victory.  Half of the field are of the speedy variety and the other half will come from off the pace.  All have posted triple digit speed numbers in their careers.  It should be a great race.

#7 To Honor and Serve (Lezcano / Mott) appears to have the edge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust, peaking workouts.  With a controlled pace he could easily clear this field.
$1 WIN / $2 SHOW.

#1 Stay Thirsty (Castellano / Pletcher) coupled with #1A Caixa Electronica (Castro / Pletcher) will challenge.  Stay Thirsty holds shares the highest speed number, is working a two race progression, and has put in four stellar workouts.  Caixa Electronica has the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two steady workouts.  Either one of these coupled entrants could win with their pressing/tracking attack.
$1 PLACE / $1 SHOW.

#3 Buffum (Maragh / Albertrani) could be the big surprise with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four serious workouts.  He could utilize his tracking style efficiently should the pace become torrid.
