Thank goodness it's Friday. We take a look at a terrific Turf battle at that fabulous place near the Pacific Ocean, Del Mar.
Del Mar Race 6 {1 1/16~TURF~3 year olds~Allowance Optional Claiming}
A great race shapes up with a superb field of ten. There is limited speed or front running types so the race could develop as a Euro style race with a quickening into the turn. The race should be a fun one.
#7 Ransom Canyon (Gomez / Proctor) gets a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three quality workouts. He could find himself in the mid-pack battle.
$2 SHOW.
#9 Seventh Avenue [IRE] (Bejarano / Bonde) will certainly challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and one swift bullet workout. He is another that should find himself in the mid-pack scirmish.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#10 Buffalo Billy [IRE] (Valdivia / Gallagher) will also be in the mix reaching for the winner's circle. Sharing the second highest last out speed number, holding a four race progression, and putting in one decent workout, he could track and close well.
#2 Jonny's Choice (D. Flores / Headley) could surprise with the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three tremendous peaking workouts. This guy is ready to hang close to the front ready to push off into the stretch.
#3 Distort This (Talamo / Sadler) should be in the mix while stretching out to this distance. He has the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two strong workouts.
10 CENT Superfecta
#7 Ransom Canyon / #9 Seventh Avenue [IRE] / #10 Buffalo Billy [IRE] / #2 Jonny's Choice, #3 Distort This.
