Furlong Friday at Aqueduct

On this Friday we take a peek at an intriguing maiden special in New York.

Aqueduct Race 7 {6 furlongs~3 year old~Maiden Special Weight}
An interesting group of nine runners will line up for this afternoon feature.  There will be four first time starters which should make it a welcome handicapping challenge.  The balance of the field have displayed speed or a propensity to be forwardly placed.  Considering that, it should be a speedy furlong dash.

#9 Metro Dreamer (C. Velasquez / Kenneally) should be able to improve as he stretches out another 110 yards.  He holds the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sharp peaking workouts.  This guy could stay close to the pace and strike in the stretch.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#6 Ferlin Husky (I. Ortiz / Mott) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  He should be forwardly placed ready to rumble.
$1 SHOW.

#1 Retire Fifty Five (J. Ortiz / Violette) is a first time starter that could find himself in the money at first asking.  He is a son of Raven's Pass that appears well prepped for his first start.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Onthewhistle (Lopez / A. Dutrow) should be favorite with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four sensational workouts that include three bullets.  This guy could bring the field through speedy fractions.

#5 Brendan G (Zayas / Morrison) should be in the mix with a couple of respectable last out speed numbers and two solid workouts.  He holds the second highest speed number at the distance.  This guy will be part of the front end pack.
