Can you believe it's Superfecta Sunday already?? Today we take in one of the best grade one's so far this year.
Gulfstream Park Race 12 {Donn Handicap~G1~1 1/8 mile~4 year old Up~Stakes}
A sensational field of eleven will take to the Gulfstream dirt in this grade one finale. This top notch field includes three millionaires plus a few that should hit that mark this year. There is very little speed, but a few that like to be forwardly placed. The fractions will be tactical. Of this crew, there are at least eight that could pull off the victory. Our task, once again, is to attempt to weave a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket together.
#3 Revolutionary (Castellano / Pletcher) could grab this one if he can stay reasonably close to the pace. He sports the third highest last out speed number which he earned after an extended layoff which helped stitch together a two race progression. He has put in two hearty workouts to boot. This guy appears ready to rumble through the stretch. He is our Bronze Horseshoe runner.
$1 SHOW.
#9 Bourbon Courage (Lezcano / Gorder) should challenge with a couple of very good last out speed numbers and four sensational peaking workouts. With a legitimate pace he could be on the cusp of a great performance. It helps that he loves the Gulfstream course holding the highest (tie) speed number over it.
#2 Will Take Charge (Saez / Lukas) is the one to beat with over three million in earnings is a terrific career so far. He holds the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and has put in four superb peaking workouts. This guy should be closing furiously into a solid pace.
#5 River Seven (Rocco / Gonzalez) could be the pace setter with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three severely successful workouts. This lad shares the highest speed number over the Gulfstream course which earned him a victory. Watch out if these fellas let him loose on the lead.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#3 Revolutionary + #9 Bourbon Courage + #2 Will Take Charge + #5 River Seven.
