We begin our horse racing weekend with a nice mile race on the grass.
Saratoga Race 9 {NY Stallions Series~1 mile~inner TURF~3 year-old~fillies~Stakes}
A fine field of nine will take to the green in this Stakes contest. It could be more aptly called the Daughters of Freud stakes as six in this one were sired by Freud. There is plenty of speed to keep a strong rolling pace. Speed numbers are close making it a competitive race as well. Hopefully the scattered Thunderstorms forecast stay away to keep this one on the Turf.
#8 Amazing Anne (Alvarado / Morley) is being wheeled back quickly and she might have an edge. This gal holds the highest last out speed number and is working a three race progression. She is 100% in the money over the Del Mar course from three starts. One of the Freud sisters, she holds the highest speed number at the distance.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE.
#3 Freudie Annie (J. Ortiz / Kenneally) should challenge with the highest speed number over the surface. She stretches out for this one and has put in three superb peaking workouts. This gal will show speed and may take up the lead, potentially holding on for an in the money performance.
$1 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#1 Psychiatry (Carmouche / Bush) should contend with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and three hearty workouts. She will be stretching out for this one exerting a pressing run. This gal has yet to be out of the money in three career starts.
#4 Loon River (Lezcano / Sciacca) should be in the hunt with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts. She holds the second highest speed number at the distance while being 50% in the money at same.
