Thank goodness it is Furlong Friday. Today we take in a nice sprint for the youngsters.
Arlington International Race 2 {5 1/2 furlongs~2 year-old~Maiden Claiming}
A good group of seven will take to the poly in this one early on the card. There is some speed in this small group of runners, so there should be a decent pace. These youngsters all show improving speed numbers as they begin there journey on the racing circuit. It should be an fine race.
#1 WW Spring Storm (Emigh / Becker) will be making his second start dropping in from a Maiden Special Weight race. He is a first time gelding that holds the second highest last out speed number. This lad has one solid workout. His connections have strong stats across the board which is a good indication he will be primed and ready.

#5 Awesome Citizen (Geroux / Mason) should take another step forward after earning the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two strong peaking workouts. Another with connections that have strong across the board stats. He should be forwardly placed ready to get first jump on the field.
#2 Connor Christopher (Montalvo / Macari) should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one hearty workout. This lad has shown speed and could lead the field in this sprint. This guy is the only one in the field who has garnered and in the money performance.
#7 Civic Minded (Sanjur / Young) is a first time starter sired by Like Minded out the mare, Civic. He will be making his start with solid connections behind him. This lad is an Illinois bred.

Saratoga R9. Union Avenue Stakes. Our first pick, Tricky Zippy, won (1st) for win money of $3.85 and show money of $3.00. Our second pick, Sister Margaret, finished 4th.
Superfecta went 10-7-4-9.
