Delta Downs Race 8 {7 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Allowance}
A nice field of nine will hit the dirt in this night time allowance race. There is sufficient speed to build-up a decent pace. Speed numbers are fairly close with only six in the field covering this distance. It should be a great battle to the wire.
#8 Its A Journey (G. Melancon / Amoss) comes in from Churchill Downs as the only one in the field has yet to race on the Delta track. She shows a couple good last out speed numbers. She should be traveling relatively close to the pace setters ready to strike in the stretch. Dropping in from a more competitive event, she should make a nice improvement.
#2 SHOW.
#6 Panoe (D. Velazquez / Berndt) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout. She enjoys this track as she has hit the board in both of her efforts over it. This gal should track and go.
#3 Night Parade (J. Melancon / Whited) should be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number, an eight race progression, and one strong workout. She favors this track having won in all four of her runs over it. Look for her to track the pace closely.
#2 Lucky Loretta (Martin / Berndt) could go off as the favorite with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one stout workout. She has three wins over the Delta Downs track from four races. This lady should track the pace, but has shown some zip in a previous effort.
