Gulfstream Park Race 10 {Mr. Prospector~G3~6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}
A high caliber field of ten will hit the Florida dirt in this annual contest. There is speed which insures a contested pace. Last out speed numbers are fairly close making for a competitive event. Only two in here have hit the triple-digit speed number in their careers. it should be a greatly exhilarating speed fest.
#6 X Y Jet (Jaramillo / J. Navarro) will go off as the deserved favorite. He is coming back from a little over a year layoff, but has trained progressively. This lad is the class of the field and should be victorious on his return. Difficult to wager against him with four dynamite workouts prepping for this one. A son of Kantharos, he should take the lead and not look back. Odds will be low. Consequently, a token win wager will be made.
$1 WIN.
#3 Yourdreamsormine (L. Saez / Dobles) should challenge as the other horse holding a triple-digit speed number. This guy has a couple of good last out speed numbers and four superb workouts. With a strong pace, he will use his tracking capability to good advantage. A son of Mr. Sekiguchi, he favours the distance and cherishes the Gulfstream Park track.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#1 First Growth (Carrales / Londono) should contend with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout. This lad also holds the second highest speed number at the distance. A son of Candy Ride [ARG], he has the tactical speed to adjust to any pace developments.
$1 SHOW.
#7 Fire Mission (Gaffalione / J. Navarro) will be in the mix as he shoots for his fifth win in a row. This guy holds the second highest last out speed number and one bullet workout. He should be forwardly placed at a distance he relishes as he holds the third highest speed number at it. A son of Wildcat Heir, he holds the most wins of this field at an amazing sixteen.
