Belmont Calling

To start our horse racing weekend, we look at a excellent sprint at "Big Sandy".

Belmont Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~Optional Claiming}
A good field of nine will go to the gate in this optional claiming feature.  There is enough speed in here to keep it rolling quickly.  The field breaks down as one that is equally capable of finding the winners circle.  It should be a fine race.

#5 Much Stronger (Castellano / Jacobson) has a slight edge with the highest last out speed number at a longer sprint and one solid workout.  He also holds the second highest speed number at the distance.  This guy should be forwardly placed.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#7 Comandante (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer sprint, a two race progression, and one bullet workout.  He is another that will show speed while being forwardly placed.
$1 SHOW.

#3 Leilani's Ticket (Saez / Perlito) should be in the hunt with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and one fine workout.  This guy holds the third highest (tie) speed number at the distance.  He could very well be pressing the pace.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#1 Island Sunset (J. Ortiz / Galluscio) could take advantage of a heated pace with a nice tracking running style.  He holds the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and has put in two hearty workouts.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Much Stronger / #7 Comandante / #3 Leilani's Ticket / #1 Island Sunset.

Last Superfecta Sunday (9/8) Results
Belmont Park R8.  Allowance.  We captured three of the required four wagering interests in our 10 CENT Superfecta box.  Superfecta went 7-2-6-3.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Red Vine, finished 2nd for show money of 3.90.
Bankroll drips to $14.89.
