On this Thursday, our horse racing weekend begins with a comfortable sprint at Presque Isle Downs.
Presque Isle Downs Race 3 {6 1/2 furlongs~3 year old Up~PA~Allowance}
An equally matched field of ten will make their way onto the Tapeta surface for this Pennsylvania Allowance race. There is plenty of speed to keep the pace quick. It could be a good race to wager and watch.
#1 Candy Shack (Mello / Martin) is rested and ready with the third (tie) highest last out speed number coming off a route and three robust workouts. He should be forwardly placed seeking advantage.
$2 SHOW.
#4 Bold Curlin (Pino / Trombetta) will challenge sharing the third highest last out speed number at a route, working a four race progression, and putting in two strong workouts. He should also be forwardly placed ready to strike.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#3 Chief Exchanger (Morales / Cooney) should contend with the highest (tie) last out speed number and a two race progression. This guy has the highest speed number at the distance while holding an 100% in the money record at same. He could be tough to beat.
#5 Full Blood (Parker / Stokes) should be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one sincere workout. He is another that should be part of the forwardly placed contingent.
10 CENT Superfecta
#1 Candy Shack / #4 Bold Curlin / #3 Chief Exchanger / #5 Full Blood.
Last Superfecta Sunday's (9/1) Results
Saratoga R10. Spinaway--G1. We misfired on our 10 CENT Superfecta box landing only one of the four contained within. Superfecta went 4-6-5-9.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Sweet Reason, won (1st) for show money of $3.10
Bankroll drops a buck and change to $20.49.
