A Sprinty Superfecta Sunday

On this Superfecta Sunday, we take in a Stakes sprint on the final day of the Fall meet at fabulous Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 5 {Pumpkin Pie Stakes~6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Stakes}

A nice group of six gals will go to the gate in this annual affair. There is speed which should produce a fast pace. Speed figs are all fairly close with the possible exception of the favorite, Stonetastic. Three scratches have reduced the field hurting our chances for a nice pay-out. Nonetheless we will make the effort to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#6 Stonetastic (P. Lopez / K. Breen) may just wire this field with the second highest last out speed number and one hearty workout. He holds the highest speed number, a triple digit, at this distance coupled with a 100% in the money record from six starts at same. No question, he is the one to beat.

#1 Momameamaria (Franco / Cannizzo) should give chase with the highest last out speed number at a slightly longer sprint and one quality workout. This gal loves the Belmont track and should position herself right off the leader. She should take another step forward at this distance. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

#5Saharan (L. Saez / Jerkens) should contend with a couple of decent last out speed figs and three superb peaking workouts. Should the pace overheat she will be right there from a tracking position. She has already notched a win over the Belmont track in her only attempt.
