Superfecta Sunday on the Turf at Santa Anita

 After a thrilling Breeders' Cup we stay on at Santa Anita for our Superfecta Sunday play.

Santa Anita Park Race 8 {Autumn Miss Stakes~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Fillies~Stakes}

A talented field of ten fillies will hit the green in this fabulous race.

This group of regally bred runners should produce a very exciting race. There is some speed that could create an honest pace. Speed figs are very close. Half the field has raced over the Santa Anita course. Overall, a great race to wager and watch.

#2 Impact Warrior [IRE] (Prat / D'Amato) should track the pace. She last raced at Del Mar at a longer route securing the third highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong workouts. This gal enjoys the surface and the distance. A daughter of Saxon Warrior [JPN], she is 66% from six career starts.

#4 Anisette [GB] (Rispolli / Powell) is the morning line favorite with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route and one solid workout. She will be tracking and closing with flourish. She loves the surface, distance, and course. A daughter of Awtaad [IRE], she is 85% in the money from seven starts.

#11 Ruby Nell (Maldonaldo / Mandella) is another that loves the surface, distance, and course. She holds the highest last out speed number and three superb workouts. She will be part of the pace scenario. A daughter of Bolt d'Oro, she is also 85% in the money from seven starts. 

#8 Coffee in Bed (jj Hernandez / Mandella) will make the switch from dirt to Turf while sharing the third highest last out speed number and three hearty workouts. She should be in the tracker pack. A daughter of Curlin, she is 80% in the money from five starts.

Vegas, Baby. Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile

We open up our Horse Racing Weekend with a fantastic race in the Breeders' Cup Championships.

Del Mar Race 7 {Las Vegas Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile~G1~1 mile~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A super high caliber field of ten will compete for the million dollar purse in this mile on the dirt. There is enough speed to keep a swift pace. There are four millionaires represented and a few that are on the cusp of becoming one. Speed numbers are very close making this one any horse's race. All but one are coming into this one off a nice freshening. It should be one hell of a race.

#8 Accelerate (Espinoza / Sadler) could pull of the victory with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four supreme peaking workouts. This guy is 92% in the money from thirteen career starts. He loves the surface, loves the distance and loves Del Mar. This lad should be tracking the pace closely and get first jump on those coming from off the pace.

#3 Sharp Azteca (P. Lopez / Navarro) should be the speed of the speed with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a four race progression, and four speedy peaking workouts. A millionaire, he is 100% in the money at the distance. He is coming off two wins attempting to make it a third.

#9 Battle of Midway (Prat / Hollendorfer) will challenge with a couple of very good last out speed numbers and three hearty workouts. This guy has a 88% in the money record from nine career starts. He has notched a win at Del Mar and over the distance. Deploying tactical speed, he should be able hit the board.

#6 Mor Spirit (Smith / Baffert) could go off as the favorite despite having the longest layoff of this crew. He holds the highest speed number at the distance and has put in four stamina producing workouts. A millionaire, he is another that has the tactical speed to lock in as the pace develops.

Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Lull, won (1st) for show money of $3.20.
Bankroll gets shaved a bit dipping to $118.17.

Superfecta Sunday in Autumn

On a beautiful Autumn day we look at a good Turf mile race in Southern California.

Santa Anita Park Race 9 {Autumn Miss~G3~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Fillies~Graded Stakes}

A great big field of thirteen gals will go to the green as the Santa Anita Fall meet ends, making way for the Breeder's Cup Championships at Del Mar.  There is a plethora of speed which should make the pace muy caliente. Speed numbers are extremely close giving any of these lasses a decent chance to strut into the winners circle. Our task is to ling together a group of four for a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket. The race should be tremendous.

#11 Lull (Prat / Clement) might have the edge having hit the board in her last two while achieving good last out speed numbers. She stretches out with a bullet workout in her saddle. This gal is 70% in the money from ten career starts and holds the highest speed number of the group over the Turf. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#9 Meadowsweet (Roman / Sise) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three exceptionally strong workouts. This filly is lightly raced with two victories from four starts. She comes out of a longer route and should be forwardly placed.

#6 Storm the Hill (Nakatani / Miller) should be in contention with the third highest (3-way tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two quality workouts. She holds the second highest speed number at the distance with a 57% in the money record at same. This gal should be tracking and closing earnestly.

#4 Tapped (Smith / Baltas) should be in the hunt sharing the third highest last out speed number, working a five race progression, and putting in three diligent, peaking workouts. This gal has the best versatility in running style and should adapt to any pace scenario that might develop.
