Superfecta Sunday Sprinting on the Green

On this Superfecta Sunday we take a look at a Turf sprint over the Arlington green.

Arlington International Race Course Race 8 {5 1/2 Furlongs~TURF~3 year-old Up~Claiming}

A nice full field of ten will take to the grass in the last of the day.  There is plenty of speed to keep the pace flowing. Speed numbers are fairly close making for quite a competitive affair. Most of these lads are decently bred for the Turf. Our task is to piece together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#5 Oscarific (Valdivia / Rivelli) looks to be the one to beat with the second highest last out speed number and two sturdy workouts. This guy has sprinted this distance earning the third highest speed number of this group. He should be tracking the pace ready to strike going into the stretch. This lad is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Hawk Is Ready (Lantz / Mathews) should be forwardly placed among the speedsters. He holds the third highest last out speed number, the highest speed number at the distance, and is working a two race progression. He loves the Turf, course, and distance.

#7 Wayne's Ready (Shinn / Catalano) is another in the forwardly placed pack. He will be making a surface switch from synthetic to Turf. This guy holds the fourth highest last out speed number and has put in two robust workouts.

#3 Mr. Stein (Murrill / Cristel) should fine a good place behind the leaders and seek to mount a strong effort coming into the stretch. He has a decent couple of last out speed numbers and a two race progression. This lad holds the highest speed number of the group over the Arlington Turf course.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#5 Oscarific  +  #1 Hawk Is Ready  +  #7 Wayne's Ready  +  #3 Mr. Stein.

Last Superfecta Sunday (7/2) Results
Woodbine R12.  Charilie Barley Stakes.  We misfired on our 20 cent Superfecta box ticket capturing only two of the four wagering interests required to win. Superfecta went 8-3-7-2.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Flowmotion, finished 5th.
Bankroll tumbles to $2.30. We will supplement with a Lincoln for today's racing action.

Superfecta Sunday Up North

Looking for some good Turf action on this Superfecta Sunday. We go North on Queen's Plate Day.

Woodbine Race 12 {Charlie Barley Stakes~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Stakes}

A great field of nine will hit the grass provided the rain subsides. There is enough speed to develop an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close which should produce a highly competitive event. All are nicely bred for the Turf. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#8 Yorkton (Da Silva / Simon) might be able to reel all of these lads in with the highest last out speed number and four glorious workouts. This guy will show speed and if contained properly, he could wire this field.

#6 Flowmotion (J. Ortiz / Casse) should take another step forward as he stretches out to this distance from his last that produced the third highest last out speed number of this crew. He has put in one fine workout. This guy has the tactical speed to track closely and strike in the stretch. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#2 Made You Look (Castellano / Pletcher) comes in to face these foes with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts. He holds the highest speed number at the distance. With a proper pace he could track and close gallantly.

#4 City Boy (Campbell / Keogh) could surprise with a couple of good last out speed numbers in which he hit the board in both efforts. He loves the surface and the Woodbine course. This lad has put in two robust workouts in the last thirty days.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($4.80)

#8 Yorkton  +  #6 Flowmotion  +  #2 Made You Look  +  #4 City Boy.
