We have not posted since last Stakes Saturday due to technical difficulties.
Today we look at a great Turf race in that other city by the bay.
Tampa Bay Downs {Florida Oaks~G3~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Fillies~Graded Stakes}
A talented group of thirteen fillies will hit the grass in this annual event. There is some speed signed on to maintain an honest pace. Speed numbers are relatively close making for a competitive Turf contest. It should be a terrific race.
#4 Ava's Kitten ( I Ortiz / C. Brown) should pull off the victory with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three hearty workouts. She is coming off a modest layoff and should fire fresh. A daughter of the great Turf sire, Kitten's Joy, she should be forwardly placed able to get first jump on the leader going into the stretch.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE.
#13 Baciami Princess [GB] (Leparoux / Lynch) will be making her first North American start after competing very well in France and Italy. Prior to a lengthy layoff, she was working a two race progression. She has put in three superb workouts prepping for this race. A daughter of Equiano [FR], she should be tracking the pace closely.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#6 Family Meeting (B. Pedroza / Proctor) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number and four supreme workouts. She has already scored a win at this distance. A daughter of Sky Mesa, with a solid pace she should be closing vigorously.
#10 Gambles Ghost (J. Velazquez / J. Carroll) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number and four excellent peaking workouts. Coming off a modest layoff she will be returning to the turf from her last start. This gal is 100% in the money from four starts. A daughter of Ghostzapper, she should track the pace.

Aqueduct R9. The Gotham--G3. Our first pick, Conquest Big E, finished 5th. Our second pick, Shagaf, won (1st) for place money of $1.80 and show money of $2.90. Our third pick, Sunny Ridge, finished 4th.
Superfecta went 2-1-3-7.
Bankroll dips to $7.21.

Great Racing on Stakes Saturday
Stakes Saturday in New York.
Aqueduct Race 9 {The Gotham~G3~1 1/16 mile~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}
A very nice field of seven will gallop out to the starting gate in this annual Derby prep race. There is some speed to make for an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close with many in here ready to take another step forward. All but one in the field are Triple Crown nominees. It should be a terrific race.
#6 Conquest Big E (J. Ortiz / Casse) could move forward in an upset. He holds the third highest last out speed number and has put in three superb peaking workouts. A son of Tapit, he should be tracking the pace ready to strike.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.
#2 Shagaf (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) will challenge with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three robust workouts. He will be shooting for his third win in a row while stretching out to this distance for the first time. This son of Bernadini should be forwardly placed.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#7 Sunny Ridge (Franco / Servis) will contend with the highest last out speed number and two strong workouts. This guy has already scored a victory over the Aqueduct track. A son of Holy Bull, he should be tracking the pace closely.
$1 SHOW.

#3 Adventist (Carmouche / Gyarmati) should also pose a significant challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts. This lad is another that should travel smoothly tracking the pace. A son of Any Given Saturday, he has hit the board in both of his career starts over the Aqueduct track.
