We begin on the TURF for the start of our horse racing weekend.
Keeneland Race 8 {Sycamore~G3~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A talented group of nine will go to the green in this graded stakes feature. For lack of speedsters, a few forwardly placed types may kick up a few divots to keep a decent pace on. All in here have comparable Beyer speed numbers. Consequently, it would come as know surprise should any one of them come away victorious.
#5 Suntracer (Bridgmohan / Block) will be closing well into a legitimate pace. He holds the highest speed number at the distance, the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three superb workouts. With six career victories in twenty-six starts, he does have one over the Keeneland turf.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.
#3 Temeraine (Flores / Proctor) will challenge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a four race progression, and three excellent workouts. This guy can be expected to track the pace and launch nicely into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.
#7 Najjaar (Graham / Peitz) could surprise with the third highest last out speed number at a longer TURF route, a two race progression, and two stout workouts. He is another that will track the pace and join in the quickening toward the finish.
$1 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#9 Tricky Hat [BRZ] (Napravnik / McGaughey) should be in the mix with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and one diligent workout. This guy could be forwardly placed ready to pounce.
#6 Rahystrada (Goncalves / Hughes) is veteran that could be a huge factor in the race with a pressing / tracking running style. This guy should still have some race in him, holding the highest speed number over the Keeneland TURF. His last out at Arlington Park was o.k., but with a nice sixty day freshening and two hearty workouts, he could fire very well.
10 CENT Superfecta
#5 Suntracer / #3 Temeraine / #7 Najjaar / #9 Tricky Hat [BRZ], #6 Rahystrada.

Superfecta Sunday Turf Sprint
We look to the great North on this Superfecta Sunday. A Woodbine Turf sprint awaits our handicapping efforts.
Woodbine Race 8 {Neartic~G1~6 furlongs~TURF~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A capable field of eleven will go to the Canadian grass in this feature race. There is quite a bit of speed and forwardly placed types that might set it up for a horse that will be coming off the pace a bit. This highly competitive field poses a unique handicapping challenge as nearly all could pull off the victory. Let's try to mine a Canadian 20 CENT Superfecta box.
#4 Longhunter [GB] (A. Garcia / Maker) might have a slight edge as a horse that likes to come from off the pace. He throws in the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression and two good workouts. He has a remarkable 72% win rate at this distance. This guy is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#11 Riding the River (Kabel / Cotey) is a veteran turfer that will also be coming from off the pace. He holds the fourth highest last out speed number at a mile route and one simple workout. This guy has a victory at the distance in three attempts and holds the highest speed number over the Woodbine Turf.
#8 Mr. Online (Carmouche / Pino) should be forwardly placed ready to get first jump on the front runners. He holds the highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and two swift peaking workouts. He should battle valiantly.
#9 Excaper (Husbands / C. Brown) could contend as he is 75% in the money over the Turf. He holds the fourth highest (tie) speed number over the surface, ran a decent last out speed number at a route, and has put in two robust workouts. This guy should be positioning among the frontend group of racers.
20 CENT SUperfecta box ($4.80)
Ah yes, Canada likes to do things a little differently.
#4 Longhunter [GB] + #11 Riding the River + #8 Mr. Online + #9 Excaper.
