Belmont Turf on Sunday
The close of our horse racing weekend features a Turf mile at Belmont Park, making it a Belmont Park horse racing weekend. A very nice one indeed.
Belmont Park Race 9 {Noble Damsel~G3~1 mile~Turf~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}
A solid field of seven will go to the gate for this graded stakes grass run. All appear to be capable of pulling off the victory. It could be quite a race.
#2 Aviate [GB] (Desormeaux / Mott) appears to be well wired for the win with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route and two tenacious, peaking workouts. She could come flying through the stretch.
$1 WIN / SHOW.
#5 Unbridled Humor (Dominguez / Motion) will challenge with the highest last out speed number at a longer route and two strong workouts. She could find herself up on the lead with the rest of the field gunning for her. Two victories at this distance says she will attempt to hold them off.
$1 PLACE / SHOW.
#3 Thai Haku [IRE] (Lezcano / Delzangles) has raced in Britain, France and UAE this year with some success. She could do very well in her first North American start. She likes this distance and is 50% in the money over her twelve race career. She could surprise.
