On this Stakes Saturday we enjoy a sweet Turf mile on the green at beautiful Del Mar.
Del Mar Race 8 {San Clemente~G2~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~fillies~Graded Stakes}
A talented group of thirteen gals will hit the grass in this annual affair. There is plenty of speed to keep a strong pace going. Speed numbers for this field are exceptionally close making it one heck of a competitive event. Only one has ever raced over the Del Mar green.
It should be one of the more exciting races of the day.
#2 Ms. Bad Behaviour [ONT] (Desormeaux / Baltas) might have the edge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route and four superb peaking workouts. She should be forwardly placed ready to strike. A daughter of Blame, she has hit the board in all of her Turf starts.
$2 WIN / $3 PLACE / $5 SHOW.
#9 West Palm Beach [IRE] (Prat / Callaghan) will challenge with a couple of good last out speed numbers and three hearty workouts. This gal can be expected to track the pace and roll quickly into the stretch. A daughter of Scat Daddy, she appears to relish the green.
$2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.
#1 Rockin Ready (Talamo / D'Amato) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number and two sound workouts. She holds the highest speed number at this distance. A daughter of More Than Ready, she is 100% in the money from five career starts. This gal will be tracking and closing gracefully through the stretch.
$2 SHOW.
